What clients say
Designed well. Built on time and on budget.

How it works
From the slope to a finished wall.
1
Site visit
We look at the slope, the soil, where water runs and what you want the space to do.
2
Design and pricing
Wall type, height, stone and layout go on a plan with pricing before you commit.
3
Engineering and permits
Taller walls get engineering where code requires it, and we handle permitting where it applies.
4
Build and walkthrough
We build with drainage behind the wall, finish the steps or planting, and walk the yard with you.
Why Millburn
Built for Utah slopes, not just for looks.
Drainage built in
Water behind a wall is what makes it fail. We plan drainage as part of the wall, not as an add-on.
Stone chosen with you
We go over stone options at the design stage so the wall matches the house and the yard.
Wall and yard together
Steps, patios, planting and lighting go on the same plan, so the wall fits the rest of the yard.
Questions
Before you reach out
How tall can a retaining wall be?
Height limits and engineering rules depend on your city and the wall. Taller walls usually need engineering and a permit, so we check local rules when we design it.
Natural stone or block: which should I choose?
Natural stone suits a hillside look and informal terraces. Block and concrete give clean lines and handle tighter spaces. We recommend one after seeing the slope and the house.
Do you handle drainage behind the wall?
Yes. Drainage is part of the wall design. We plan how water gets out from behind the wall and away from the house.
Can you build a wall in a yard that is already landscaped?
Yes. We plan around what you want to keep. Access and slope affect the build, so we look at both on site.
How much does a retaining wall cost?
Price depends on wall length and height, material, access and drainage. We give you a price at the consultation, before any work starts.
What areas do you serve?
We work across Salt Lake, Davis, Utah and Weber Counties, from Ogden to Provo.
