What's included
Good sod starts with the soil under it.
Most failed lawns fail below the surface: uneven grade, compacted clay, no starter. We deal with that first, then lay the sod.
Soil prep and grading
We level the grade, break up compacted Utah clay and set the surface so water drains away from the house.
Delivery and laying
Fresh sod arrives and goes down right away, laid tight with staggered seams and trimmed clean to beds and walks.
Root starter
Every install includes root starter, which gives the new sod a head start on rooting into the soil underneath.

Site walkthrough
We look at the area, the slope and the sprinklers you already have, and give you a price for the whole job.

Prep and grade
Old lawn and debris come out, the soil gets loosened and leveled, and low spots get filled before any sod goes down.

Lay and roll
The sod is laid tight, seams staggered, edges trimmed, then rolled for full contact with the soil.

Watering plan
We walk you through the first weeks of watering, when new sod either roots in or dries out.

Before you reach out
When is the best time to lay sod in Utah?
Spring and fall are easiest on new sod because the weather is milder. Summer installs work with careful watering, so call us and we will tell you what makes sense for your timing.
How soon can we walk on it?
Keep traffic off for the first couple of weeks while the roots take hold. We'll give you the exact timing for your lawn when we finish.
Is sod better than seed?
Sod gives you a finished lawn right away and is less likely to wash out on a slope. Seed costs less but takes longer and needs more babysitting. We can talk through which fits your yard.
Can you sod over my existing lawn?
No. Old turf and weeds have to come out first, and the soil underneath needs to be loosened and leveled. We handle all of that as part of the job.
How much will it cost?
Price depends on square footage, access and how much prep the ground needs. We give you a price at the consultation, before any work starts.
