Outdoor living projects
Spaces built for long evenings outside.
Patios, fire features, pergolas and kitchens built into Wasatch Front yards.
What we build
One outdoor room, planned as a whole.
A patio, a fire feature and a kitchen work best when they are drawn together. We plan where you cook, sit and gather, then build the pieces in one sequence.
Patios and fire features
Paver and stone patios with fire pits, fire tables and fireplaces, sized to the way you use them.
Pergolas and pavilions
Shade structures and covered rooms with footings, power and lighting planned in from the start.
Outdoor kitchens
Built-in grills, counters and seating, planned with the gas, water and power runs they need.
What clients say
Designed well. Built on time and on budget.

How it works

Why Millburn
Designed together, built by one team.
Planned as one project
Patio, structures, kitchen and lighting are sequenced together, so one doesn't tear up another.
Pricing up front
The design comes with pricing, so the kitchen, lighting and fire feature aren't surprise add-ons later.
Our own crews
Our crews handle the hardscape, structures and landscaping around your patio.
Questions
Before you reach out
Do I need a permit for a pergola or outdoor kitchen?
Often, yes. Requirements depend on your city and the structure, and some HOAs require approval too. We handle build planning and permitting and help with HOA submittals.
Gas or wood fire pit: which is better?
Gas lights at the push of a button with no ash or smoke. Wood gives the classic crackle. Some areas limit wood burning on poor air quality days, so we check local rules before we design it.
Can you add a pergola or kitchen to an existing patio?
Often, yes. It depends on the patio's base, the layout and where utilities run, so we look at it on site before quoting.
Can we build in phases?
Yes. We design the full space first, then build in phases that fit your budget, so later phases match the original plan.
How much does an outdoor living project cost?
Price depends on size, materials and what is included. A patio with a fire pit costs far less than a covered kitchen with a fireplace. We price your yard after the on-site consultation.
What areas do you serve?
We work across Salt Lake, Davis, Utah and Weber Counties, from Ogden to Provo.
