Herriman Landscape & Outdoor Living Project
This Herriman project combines substantial grade changes with outdoor living space, planting and wide mountain views. Millburn designed and installed the complete landscape, including the boulder retaining system, lawn, planting, patios, fire feature and outdoor kitchen.

The property changes elevation quickly behind the home. Large boulder retaining walls create usable levels while becoming a major visual part of the landscape. Planting between the stonework helps the walls sit naturally within the property.
Outdoor Living at the House
Large paved areas extend the usable space directly outside the home. Dining and lounge areas are arranged around the lower level, including a built-in fire feature and a covered outdoor kitchen.
A Covered Kitchen and Gathering Area
The outdoor kitchen sits beneath the covered portion of the home with counters, cooking equipment and room to gather nearby. The open sides keep the space connected to the patio and the view beyond the property.
Lawn, Planting and Views
The lower lawn creates an open area between the retaining walls and the edge of the property. Trees, shrubs and planting beds frame the lawn without blocking the mountain views.
The Finished Project
This project uses the property's elevation instead of hiding it. The retaining walls, terraces and outdoor living areas create several distinct spaces while keeping the landscape visually connected.
