Large existing trees are a major part of this property. The landscape was built around them with broad planting beds, boulders, groundcover and curved walkways instead of forcing a completely new layout onto the site.
Fire Pit and Hardscape
The backyard centers on a circular fire pit set into a paved gathering area. Low seat walls define the space while keeping it open to the lawn and surrounding planting. The hardscape continues into walkways that connect the different areas of the yard.
Planting Throughout the Property
Dense planting softens the stonework and gives the landscape a settled-in appearance. Beds around the home, patio and mature trees combine shrubs, perennials and groundcover with large accent boulders.
The Finished Project
The finished property feels connected from front to back. The fire pit gives the backyard a clear gathering place, while the walkways, planting and stonework carry the same landscape character around the home.
