A Pool Built Into a Hillside Property
The pool occupies a terrace directly behind the home with open views across the valley and toward the mountains. The surrounding deck provides room for lounge seating while glass railing keeps the view open.
Outdoor Living Above the Pool
A separate upper terrace creates another outdoor gathering area away from the pool. Paved seating areas, built-in fire features, boulders and planting turn the hillside into usable outdoor space rather than leaving it as one continuous slope.
Terraces, Stairs and Grade Changes
The property has substantial elevation changes. Retaining walls, terraces and curved stairs connect the different levels from the home and pool to the upper landscape.
Planting Across the Property
The planting changes with the site. Near the outdoor living areas, beds are integrated with boulders and hardscape. Around the home and street side of the property, lawn, trees, shrubs and dark groundcover beds soften the architecture.
Outdoor Cooking With a View
A built-in outdoor cooking area sits along the hillside with an uninterrupted view across the valley. Its location creates another usable destination within a property that has several distinct outdoor spaces.

The Finished Project
The finished landscape turns a steep site into a series of connected spaces: pool, terraces, fire-side seating, outdoor cooking, lawn and planted areas. Each level has a purpose while remaining part of the same landscape.
